Complete Rebuild All But House Facade

This remodel took a 1980’s home on prestigious Tampa Bay waterfront and turned it into an updated dream home for a great Florida family.

We demolished the entire inside of the home leaving only the exterior shell. We incorporated a new open floor plan to include two living rooms, dining room and kitchen.

A stunning kitchen with state of the art appliances, marble backsplash, granite countertops and custom white painted maple cabinetry sets the gorgeous tone of the whole house. Off the kitchen, we built a custom maple bar and buffet that sits off the dining area. Unique reclaimed wood backsplash on the bar adds a modern beach look.

The master bathroom is ultimate luxury with Carrara marble flooring, shower with multiple rain heads, Jacuzzi tub, and granite countertops. Another guest bath and pool bath were remodeled and turned into beautiful and modern spaces. Both new bathrooms are finished with custom cabinetry, granite, marble stone tiles, travertine stone tiles and custom shower enclosures.

We then added another 1000 square feet to the front of the home which includes 2 new bedrooms, 2 new bathrooms and a new raised ceiling grand entrance foyer. The entrance ceiling is tongue and groove cedar and the front door is stained mahogany.

Newlywed Dream Home

We were thrilled to turn this house into a dream home for a newly married couple.

In the main house we gutted an existing guest bedroom and bathroom and turned it into a luxury bar and lounge.  Custom maple cabinetry, custom maple ceiling beams, exotic marble, state of the art LED lighting, SONO’s sound system, ventless gas fireplace and commercial appliances make this the ultimate hang out for games and parties.

The custom maple cabinetry, wood paneling and maple trim molding was also installed in the study downstairs.

Moving into the kitchen, we changed out the cabinets, granite, and added a beautiful marble backsplash.

In addition, we sanded and restained all the wood floors, and replaced the carpets which immediately gave the home a fresh look and feel.

Upstairs we remodeled both guest showers with new natural stone and the master bathroom with stunning marble and granite finishes, while creating a spa like shower complete with 4 body sprays, 3 shower heads and a rain maker, and a Kohler sauna system.

The guest play room was gutted and all new plumbing and electrical was added to create a full bathroom including a shower, vanity and toilet and kitchen area.

We repainted the inside and out and added new moldings as needed.

On the exterior, all new landscaping, lighting, fences, and natural stone travertine paver pool decking was installed to dress up the curb appeal. We built a new fully equipped outdoor kitchen including new burners, grill, ice maker, refrigerator and gas fire pit.

Kitchen Remodel

The Sweetlund Group was asked to remodel the Kitchen and Great Room of a home where they had already redone the master bedroom and bathroom.

While the home has solid structural bones, the homeowners wanted to completely redesign the interior into a modern and updated entertaining kitchen and great room space.

One of the kitchen’s stand out features are unique mahogany custom made cabinets with designer lighting throughout to showcase the beautiful grains of the wood. Our team also installed state of the art Wolf appliances, and a wine cooler at the wet bar. Perhaps the stars of the space are the granite countertops, and stunning track lighting that encompasses the entire span of the large kitchen in a sleek aesthetic.

The great room was given an overhaul with removing the old wood paneling on the walls and putting custom stained mahogany wood panels in its place. Existing tile floors were removed and textured designer stone tile was put down with mahogany wood inlays throughout to create a gorgeous grid pattern. Steel handrails were specifically designed to lead into the sitting area where the massive granite stone fireplace is the focal point of the whole room.

Residential Remodel in Palma Ceia

We recently remodeled a charming old Palma Ceia home into a more elegant, current space.

Without taking away from that old charm the homeowners worked hand in hand with our team to add luxury details and more modern appeal.

First, The Sweetlund Group redid the entire floor and crawl space system with engineered concrete to secure the structural integrity of the older home. Beautiful textured wood floors were then laid down throughout, walls were retextured, painted and finished off with crown molding.

Two bathrooms were designed and remodeled with new vanity sinks, shower enclosures and impressive stone, granite, and tile mosaic finishes. The master bath was completely gutted, removing old cast iron pipes and given all new plumbing.

The highest quality Bianco marble covers the entire master bathroom; on the walls, shower, and floors. Six rainmaker shower heads create the ultimate relaxation shower, with an all glass shower enclosure that leads seamlessly into a Jacuzzi jet tub.

A handsome double vanity sink and sparkling chandelier tie this impressive resort style bathroom together.

Indigo Blue BoutiqueA 1980’s shell was recently transformed into a trendy new surfer style ladies boutique by The Sweetlund Group.

All the walls and ceilings were refinished, receptacles re-wired, lights and switches replaced. New tile and carpet flooring along with a new custom desk with solid surface tops and a brick veneer combined to retain a rustic look.

The concrete slab was sanded down to its original appearance and a Sherwin-Williams floor coating system was applied.

Custom trim packages and paint systems plus new pendant light fixtures completed the decorative touches that turned this space into a beautiful and friendly ladies boutique.

"Overall I was extremely satisfied and impressed with The Sweetlund Group. It is hard to find a contractor that you can trust and that does top quality, exquisite work." - Griffin Miller Zysk
